For those who don’t follow me on twitter or instagram, here is a photo of a little something I received as a Williams competition prize.
The competition was to guess a part of their car from a close up photo with the first correct answer winning during the weekend of the Spanish Grand Prix. The part in question was a front wing flap & the prize was a front wing flap from the 2012 Williams FW34.
I was also asked by Williams if I would like this signed by the drivers, which I said yes to, and also requested for Valtteri to add a #BOTTAS (twitter users will know the significance of this hashtag).
This prize arrived last week and I am very thrilled to have received such a prize, not just as an F1 fan but also as an engineer & a student of aerodynamics.
Many thanks to the Williams F1 Team for this prize & I hope the team has better fortunes throughout the rest of the 2013 season.
Now I just have to get a display case to show it off in, if anyone has any suggestions where I can get one (and a proper stand to hold it up) please get in touch.
